Preparing for Loan

Products and Services

This section of the Business Plan, located after the General Company Description, focuses on products and services your company will provide. In this section describe what products or services are offered, how and where you will be selling them and whether you have any plans for future items or services. Don’t worry about technical specifications, photos, sales brochures, or drawings. Those will go in the Appendices section. Include information such as:

  •  The uniqueness of the product or service
  •  How you will be selling the product or service
  •  Benefits to the customer
  •  Why customers would purchase from you
  •  Vendor details, noting any exclusive dealerships
  •  Pricing policy or strategy
  •  How your products or services differ from competition

This section should be just a few pages. You don’t need to include every product or service. This is just an overview of the product line and the associated research.

If your product or service is entirely unique, make sure you include all the necessary legal aspects such as patents and copyrights.
